School Governance

Rev. Donovan Myers has served in pastoral ministry for over 30 years with 12 years in education in both Jamaica and Cayman.  He has been a Teacher of Religious Education,  School Counsellor and college Adjunct Instructor in psychology, counselling and theology.  Having served over several urban, rural and suburban congregations, he is currently the minister for the John Gray Memorial and South Sound United congregations.  He holds a BA and MAR (Hons) as well as a post graduate Diploma in Education.

His community engagements have been varied: serving as Chair of HIV/AIDS community organization, Chair of Victim Support Council, Member of ‘City Spirit’ Council (serving homeless persons), Member of Taskforce for the Reform of Public Health, Member of Former Human Rights Committee, Member of Human Rights Commission and Former Chair of the National Youth Commission.  He has participated in several ecumenical gatherings inclusive of the Council for World Mission’s (CWM) programmes (Consultations on Multiculturalism and a series of Colloquia considering the development of a New International Financial and Economic Architecture (NIFEA).

Mrs. Melanie Ebanks Jackson is an experienced Human Resource professional, specializing in recruitment, development of policies and procedures and employee benefits. Her early career focused on pension administration within the government sector. Melanie held a senior role at the Public Service Pensions Board, before moving in the private sector as a Human Resources Consultant and has returned to the public sector with the Portfolio of the Civil Service where she continues to practice Human Resources. Melanie is passionate about children and their welfare, as evidenced by her close involvement in the local Girls’ Brigade Council and The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award where she has held various positions on the Executive Board in both Non-Profit organizations. Melanie values the importance of personal growth and development and is a 2017 Graduate of the Leadership Cayman programme, sponsored by the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce.

Rev Leighton Christopher Mason has served in pastoral ministry for over 25 years in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.  During this period, he has served in a number of senior leadership positions, including the position of Moderator of the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands for 4 years.  Rev Mason is currently the minister of the Elmslie Memorial United Church.  He holds a BA in Theology and a Diploma in Ministerial Studies (from the University of the West Indies and United Theological College of the West Indies respectively).

Craig is a former student of Cayman Prep School, a graduate of the Cayman Islands High School (now the John Gray High School) and of the Pennsylvania State University.

Craig‘s professional career includes over 20 years of experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the Cayman Islands and in New York. His current role is an assurance partner in the local firm of PWC. His responsibilities include working with financial services clients around the world and their diverse array of investment products.

Craig is a current council member and past president of the Cayman Islands Institute of professional accountants, which is the local regulator for the accounting profession.

Craig is also a past deputy chairman for Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Cayman Islands.

Amy was born and raised in the Cayman Islands, She completed her undergraduate in law at University College London and qualified as a lawyer in 2009 before moving back to Cayman in 2012. Amy is currently am a professional support lawyer at Walkers working in the litigation and insolvency department, having worked at two other offshore firms as a litigation lawyer.

Amy has 3 children and has served on the PTA for three years since September 2020, when her eldest daughter started KG at Prep. In addition to her role as one of the PTA Governors, Amy also serves on the Education Committee of the Board of Governors.

Mr. Hanson has been an educator for over 30 years and is currently employed at John Gray High School where he serves as Subject Leader for English.  He is a member of the Savannah United Church and has served his local congregation in various capacities.
