High School

Our school day begins at 7:45am and at this time, students must be in their tutor rooms with their form tutor. Typically, students arrive on campus from 7:15am, and use the morning to socialise with friends, play sports on the AstroTurf or basketball court, or use this time to get ready for the day ahead by taking and replacing books in their lockers.

At 7:45am, students are greeted by their form tutors, in their form rooms, who ensure that all students have everything they need for the day, announce any notices and engage with our robust pastoral program.

At 8:00am, subject lessons begin. Lessons are 1-hour in length, and each class moves from room to room which is guided by an individual student timetable which is issued on the first day back after the summer break. Students can also check their timetable via the school’s VLE. After the first two lessons, there is a 25-minute break, then two more lessons before lunch.

Lunch is 45-minutes. During this time, students can opt to bring in a packed lunch, or have a hot pre-ordered lunch from our school caterers, ‘Food for Thought’. At 1:10 there is a 5-minute afternoon registration period for students, and then the final two lessons. The school day ends at 3:15.

Many students remain in school beyond 3:15pm where they engage in a wide variety of afterschool activities, details of which can be found on our website.
