Inspiring Curiosity, Confidence and Character

The Primary School years are filled with opportunities for children to grow, explore and discover. At Cayman Prep and High School, students enjoy a caring and supportive environment, guided by Christian values, where they are encouraged to participate, contribute and make the most of every opportunity available to them.

From Kindergarten through to Year 6, students build friendships, develop independence and create lasting memories through a wide range of experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Every child is known, valued and supported as they develop the knowledge, skills and character needed for future success.

Exploring Talents and Interests

Primary School students enjoy opportunities in art, music, sport, computing and modern languages, enabling them to explore new interests, develop individual talents and build confidence through a broad range of experiences.

These opportunities encourage creativity, collaboration and resilience while allowing students to discover activities they enjoy and talents they may continue to develop throughout their school journey.

Belonging Through Our House System

Every Primary School student belongs to one of our three Houses:

  • Elmslie
  • Redpath
  • Young

The House system plays an important role in school life, fostering teamwork, school spirit and a strong sense of belonging. Throughout the year, students participate in sporting events, creative challenges, academic competitions and community activities, earning points for their House while developing friendships across year groups.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Some of the most memorable learning experiences happen beyond the classroom.

Educational visits, guest speakers and outdoor learning opportunities help students make meaningful connections with their learning while developing curiosity, confidence and a greater understanding of the world around them.

Experiences may include:

  • Mangrove walks
  • Museum visits
  • Library visits
  • Boat trips
  • Environmental projects
  • Visits from members of the local community

These opportunities bring learning to life and help students connect with the culture, history and environment of the Cayman Islands. Islands.

A Caring Community

At Cayman Prep and High School, relationships matter.

Strong partnerships between students, staff and families create a positive and supportive environment where children feel safe, respected and encouraged to succeed. We believe every child should enjoy school, feel a sense of belonging and have the confidence to become the very best version of themselves.

Guided by Christian values, we nurture kindness, respect, integrity and compassion, helping students develop into responsible members of their community.
