Head of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning

At Cayman Prep and High School, we have developed a dynamic curriculum that responds to the needs of our students. Working within the framework of the British National Curriculum, we strive to provide a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum, with clear progression from EYFS through Key Stage 2.

As educational practises continue to evolve, it is essential that our staff are well equipped to meet the changing demands of teaching and learning in the 21st Century. Our teachers work collaboratively to promote consistency, maintain high expectations and continually improve outcomes for all pupils. We believe every child deserves a rich, stimulating learning environment that recognises and responds to their individual needs. Through a holistic approach, alongside our Growth Mindset culture and Christian Ethos, we aim to nurture pupils to become critical and creative thinkers, responsible citizens and confident, independent learners who understand the importance of respect, kindness and consideration for others.

With over 25 years of experience teaching in the Cayman Islands, I draw on a wide range of leadership experience, including roles as Head of Year, Head of Infants, Language Arts Lead, Deputy Principal and Acting Principal. I am passionate about using this experience, together with my Christian values, to support and enrich the curriculum, complement the strengths of our teaching staff and create meaningful, engaging learning experiences that enable every child to flourish.
