Inspiring Creativity & Self-Expression
The arts play a vibrant and important role in life at Cayman Prep and High School. Through visual arts, music, drama and performance, students are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop confidence and discover new ways to express themselves.
From our youngest learners in Kindergarten to our Sixth Form students, the arts provide opportunities to create, collaborate, perform and share ideas. Whether working on an art project, rehearsing for a production, performing in a concert or exploring creative technologies, students develop valuable skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Visual Arts
Creativity is nurtured from an early age through opportunities to experiment, explore and create.
As students progress through the school, they develop skills across a wide range of media and techniques, including:
- Drawing and painting
- Sculpture and ceramics
- Design projects
- Photography
- Printmaking
- Mixed media work
- Digital and creative technologies
Students are encouraged to investigate the work of artists and designers from different cultures and traditions while developing their own artistic style and confidence in expressing ideas visually.
Music
Music provides students with opportunities to perform, compose, collaborate and develop a lifelong appreciation of music.
Throughout their time at Cayman Prep and High School, students learn to:

Music is brought to life through concerts, assemblies, productions and community performances that allow students to share their talents and celebrate their achievements.
Drama
Drama encourages students to develop confidence, communication skills, creativity and teamwork.

From classroom activities and workshops to major performances and productions, students learn how to collaborate effectively, think creatively and communicate with confidence.
Performances & Productions
Performance opportunities are an important part of the school year and provide students with the opportunity to showcase their talents, build confidence and celebrate their achievements.
Shakespeare Rocks!
A highlight of Year 6 is the annual production of Shakespeare Rocks! Students work together both on stage and behind the scenes to bring the performance to life, developing confidence, creativity and teamwork while celebrating the culmination of their Primary School journey.
Concerts & Assemblies
Throughout the year, students share their musical and creative talents through performances, celebration assemblies and special events. These opportunities help students gain confidence and experience performing before an audience.
High School Productions
High School students regularly have opportunities to participate in productions, performances and creative events that showcase a wide range of artistic talents.
Creative Opportunities Beyond the Classroom
Creativity extends beyond timetabled lessons.
Students can further develop their interests through clubs, House competitions, productions, performances, exhibitions and enrichment activities throughout the year. These opportunities encourage students to collaborate, lead, perform and contribute to the wider school community.

- The annual High School Talent Show
The High School Talent Show provides students with the opportunity to share their talents with the school community, whether through music, dance, drama, comedy, spoken word or other creative performances. It is always a popular event and a wonderful celebration of the creativity and confidence of our students.
