School Lunches

Primary School:

In the Primary School, a delicious lunch menu is provided by professional caterers. Included is a daily choice from at least two entrees, dessert and bottled water. A vegetarian option is also available each day. The menu changes each month, in order to ensure variety. Meals are $5, but this daily cost reduces considerably with advance payment on a termly or monthly basis.

The school is very concerned about nutrition and a "Nutrition Committee" of parents monitors the proposed menus and suggests amendments / alternatives which it feels are desirable.

Students not wishing to avail themselves of the catering option are allowed to bring their own packed lunches to school. Ordering or delivering of "fast food" lunches is not allowed.

High School:

Cayman Prep and High School has arranged for local caterers to provide a delicious and nutritious variety of hot and cold meals at a price of CI$5.00 per day for our High School students. This includes a cold drink. Alternatively, students may prefer to bring packed lunches from home. This amount is payable monthly in advance when lunches are booked through the school office.

Should students have the occasional need to leave school at lunch time, they may be "signed out" for lunch by a parent or responsible designated adult. There is a "sign out" book in the office for this purpose.

Students in Years 12 and 13 (A-level students) may sign themselves out for lunch.

Please note that the school does not allow parents or others to bring "fast food" lunches into school for students.
