Friends of Prep

Friends of Prep is a lively group which is open to the entire PTA membership and others in the local community who are eager to support Cayman Prep and High School. It provides a social forum by organising events and also raises money for enhancing teaching and learning facilities.

The programme of events organised by the Friends of Prep committee is designed to promote the ethos of the school, to develop social contacts, and to provide entertainment for children, parents and teachers alike. This year's events range from a November evening for the adults ("Puttin' on the Glitz"), a time for children ("Breakfast with Santa", held in December for the younger children), and a day for all the family ("Eggstravaganza", a fun-filled fair held in a local park in March, which appeals to all age groups, and is open to the public).

The committee also organises events targeted at fund-raising as well as enjoyment for participants. These include the school's participation in December's Cayman Marathon and a sponsored cycle ride, "CycloPrep", which takes place each May near Rum Point.

The Friends of Prep committee is always glad to hear from supporters who would like to assist in organising events, or make suggestions for new events.
